Set up a Shipping olicy

This guide will help you create and update your Shipping Policy page on your BettaMax store. A clear shipping policy helps reduce customer questions and increase order fulfillment rates, which is especially important for the US/UK/CA market.

What should a shipping policy include? #

Before accessing the system, please prepare the necessary information. A complete shipping policy typically includes the following details so that international customers don’t have to contact us for further information.

  • Order processing time: How many days from order placement to shipping (e.g., 1 to 3 business days).
  • Delivery time: Estimated number of days for delivery (e.g., 7 to 15 days for the US).
  • Shipping fee: The applicable fee or free shipping conditions, if any.
  • Delivery area: Countries or regions served by the store.
  • Lost or Delayed Order Policy: How to Handle Cases When Orders Don’t Arrive on Time.
Tip: Write your policy in English if your store serves the US/UK/CA market. International customers often check the Shipping Policy page before making a purchase, especially for their first order.

Access the policy settings. #

Shipping policies are managed in the Policy section of the store settings. This is where all policy pages displayed to customers are located.

  1. From the menu bar on the left, select Settings .
  2. Select the Policy tab .

 

Edit or add content to the Shipping Policy. #

BettaMax provides several default policies. For the Shipping Policy, you need to add specific store information to the customization options.

  1. Find the Shipping Policy item in the list of policies.
  2. Click Show more to expand the editing options for this item.
  3. In the Edit Policy dialog box , scroll down to the Add your policy section .
  4. Enter your shipping policy details in the text field. Use clear formatting with subheadings and lists to make it easy for customers to read.
  5. Press Save to save.
Warning: Do not delete or edit the default policy content already available in BettaMax. Only add to the ” Add your policy” field . Deleting default content may affect the validity of your store policy.

If you don’t have content ready, you can refer to the template below and adjust it to suit your store. Replace the values ​​in square brackets with your actual information.

Processing Time
Orders are processed within [1–3] business days after payment confirmation.
Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed the next business day.

Standard shipping to the United States: [7–15] business days.

Note: This is for reference only. Adjust delivery times and shipping fees to match your supplier’s actual shipping costs. Inaccurate information can easily lead to customer complaints.

 

Check the store’s display policy. #

After saving, check that the Shipping Policy page displays the correct content before placing the actual order. Customers access this page via the link in the store’s footer.

  1. Open a store in your browser.
  2. Scroll down to the footer and find the Shipping Policy link .
  3. Click the link to check if the policy content is displayed correctly.
